Doragon (ドラゴン) is the dragon — in Japanese symbolism a creature of strength and wisdom, guardian of water and storm. Forging & Steel
The 71 cm blade is forged from Damascus steel carrying a hamon. Folding the steel surfaces the characteristic swirling pattern — beauty and durability in the same operation — while the hamon marks the hardened edge against the softer, more flexible body. Those folded layers work strength and resilience into the blade together, so it bites on a cut without becoming brittle. Fittings
The dragon-carved copper tsuba is the showpiece, matched by copper menuki under the wrap. The lacquered-wood saya bears painted floral motifs that play against the metalwork, and the tsuka is bound over genuine white shagreen for grip and aesthetic cohesion across the whole mounting.
